As Senior Operations Manager – Warehouse & Domestic Truck (USA)
on-ground warehouse team in New Jersey, US trucking partners, and our customers
take over fast, build efficiency, and run the operation as if you’re physically on the floor in the USA.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Fulfillment & Inventory Control (US Warehouse – NJ)
- Oversee daily warehouse operations
remotely
for our New Jersey facility: - – Receiving & unloading
- – Putaway, location assignment, and slotting optimization
- – Picking, packing, and outbound shipments (B2B / B2C / e-commerce, as applicable)
- Ensure
SLAs and accuracy targets
are met for all warehouse accounts (on-time order processing, shipping cut-offs, etc.). - Work with on-ground supervisors and forklift operators to improve:
- –
Forklift and picker routes
– Dock utilization
– Pallet and bin location efficiency
– Safety and clear SOPs.
Maintain WMS documentation and warehouse SOPs
. Ensure all processes are followed and continuously improved.- Drive
inventory accuracy
via cycle counts, reconciliation of variances, and process fixes.
2. Domestic Trucking: Drayage, LTL & FTL Coordination (USA)
- Coordinate
port pick-ups (drayage)
from New Jersey ports and terminals to our warehouse or final destination. - Plan, schedule, and track
LTL and FTL
loads within the USA. - Communicate daily with US-based truckers, carriers, and dispatchers to:
- – Confirm appointments
- – Monitor in-transit status
- – Manage delivery windows and exceptions
- Optimize truck routing and loading where possible, and
negotiate spot/contract rates
together with the team. - Control and reduce
D&D, storage, and failed pick-up/delivery penalties
with proactive planning and follow-up.
3. Customer & Field Communication
- Act as the
primary night-shift contact
for warehouse & trucking clients. - Join or lead client calls to provide updates on:
- – Inbound containers
- – Inventory readiness
- – Outbound shipments
- – Exceptions or delays
- Manage escalations: if something goes wrong (missed cut-off, truck delay, inventory issue), you:
- – Get the facts from the field
- – Communicate clearly with the client
- – Propose immediate and long-term corrective actions.
- Work closely with Sales & Account Management to support
smooth onboarding and retention
of warehouse/trucking clients.
4. Team Collaboration & Remote Leadership
- Lead and manage
warehouse & trucking operations from overseas
, working hand-in-hand with: - – Warehouse supervisor and floor team in New Jersey
- – Operations coordinators
- – Domestic trucking partners
- Ensure strong coordination between
Operations, Sales, and Account Management
so everyone is aligned on current priorities and constraints. - Coach support staff (in India and US) on process discipline, documentation accuracy, and communication standards.
5. Billing, Profitability & Reporting
- Oversee
billing inputs
for warehouse and trucking services: - – Ensure all chargeable activities (inbound, storage, handling, outbound, accessorials, trucking charges) are captured accurately.
- – Validate profitability per client / per shipment.
- Support weekly and monthly
billing cycles
, resolving discrepancies with clients or vendors. - Own and report key KPIs (see below) to executive management.

You Should Have
5–8+ years
experience in warehouse / 3PL operations
, preferably as:- – Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager / 3PL Supervisor
- – Or Operations Lead in a freight forwarder with strong warehouse + trucking exposure
- Hands-on experience with:
- – Forklifts, pallet jacks, dock operations
- – Racking design, pallet positions, storage optimization
- – Receiving, putaway, picking, packing, loading
- Strong knowledge of
domestic trucking
(drayage, LTL, FTL) – ideally with US routes, US ports, or US-based customers
. - Experience working in or with a
3PL in India or USA
(or for a US customer from India). - Proficiency with
WMS/TMS systems
(e.g., CargoWise, Magaya, 3PL Central, Manhattan, or similar). - Strong spoken and written
English
; confident on calls with customers, carriers, and warehouse staff. - Ability to
take over fast
: you’re used to walking into a running operation and quickly understanding flows, gaps, and improvements. - Excellent time management and ability to handle
multiple moving pieces
in a fast-paced environment. - A
team-first, ownership mindset

Nice to Have
- Experience with
US East Coast ports
(New York / New Jersey) or major US 3PL markets. - Background in
e-commerce fulfillment / omni-channel
