Job Title: Senior JIRA & Confluence AdministratorLocation: Mumbai

Candidate Specification& Job Responsibilities

Candidate must have 7+ years on experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence administration in enterprise environments Validate the information received using Existing guidelines Deep expertise in JIRA configuration, including complex workflow creation, automation, and JQL.Strong command of Confluence Space and template design, user management, and governanceProven experience working in Agile/DevOps/ITSM frameworksExperience with Script Runner, Automation for JIRA, Insight, and other Marketplace apps.Strong understanding of Atlassian Cloud vs Server/Data Centre architectures and migration considerationsProficient with REST API Integration, scripting (Groovy, Python, Shell) and log analysis.Knowledge of SSO, LDAP/Active Directory integrations, user provisioning, and permission modelsOwn and manage the entire Atlassian stack including JIRA Software, JIRA Service Management, and Confluence (Cloud Server, or Data Centre)Lead design and implementation of complex JIRA workflows, permission schemes, customer fields, and automation rules tailored for Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and ITIL processes.Design and administer Confluence spaces, templates, access structures, macros, and content strategies to support knowledge management and team collaborationWork closely with product owners, delivery managers, and support teams to gather requirements and translate into effective Atlassian solutionsDrive platform governance, including user access control, audit compliance, plugin evaluations, and license management.Lead or contribute to migration initiatives, such as JIRA server to cloud or third-party tool consolidationsDevelop custom integrations using REST APIs. Webhooks and middleware platforms.Mentor and guide junior administrators and support users through training, documentation, and troubleshooting.Maintain system uptime, schedule upgrades/patches, and ensure data integrity and backup policies are followed.Act as an SME for JIRA & Confluence best practices, enterprise scaling, and strategic enhancements.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Atlassian Certifications (ACP-610/120/1000) is a plusExperience managing large-scale environments with 1000+ usersExposure to Atlassian Access, Crowd, and Bitbucket/BambooFamiliarity with CI/CD pipeline, security compliance and audit controlsExperience leading tool governance forums or CoE.
