Role Description

L3 Network Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Overall management and maintenance of day-to-day network operations.
• Supervise and coordinate with L1 and L2 engineers for daily operational activities.
• Implement, manage, and maintain Wireless Infrastructure solutions (HPE Aruba, Cisco, Ruckus).
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions for complex network issues related to Routing, Switching, and Security (Cisco, Fortinet).
• Perform IOS upgrades and configuration of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, VRF, VXLAN/OTV, VPC, VDC, IPsec, SSL, VPN, etc.).
• Configure and manage switching technologies (VLAN, VTP, STP, Inter-VLAN Routing, HSRP, EtherChannel, VSS, and Stacking).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Switches, Access Points, IMC, Aruba Wi-Fi, ClearPass, and OnGuard.
• Manage and maintain Cisco Prime, DNA Center, NCM, and IPAM tools.
• Troubleshoot ISE and AD integration issues, including wired/wireless authentication, guest portals, reachability, and policy configurations.
• Review firewall rule base, security incidents, and perform baseline security assessments.
• Prepare and submit the following reports:
• Weekly Performance Report – every Saturday
• Monthly Operational Review (issues/incidents/changes/SLA) – by the 5th of each month
• Internet/Firewall Report – by the 10th of each month
• Asset Verification & Inventory Report – before every quarter
• Ensure full operational responsibility for the network across the entire factory.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Electronics, or a related field.
• Cisco or equivalent networking certification (mandatory).

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in the Networking domain.

Technical Skills:

• Must have completed Cisco CCNA Certification (CCNP or higher preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes with experience in Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Proven expertise in Cisco SDA Fabrics, DNA Centre, and ISE.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing industry environment is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Work Condition

• Work Type: Full-time, On-site
• Location: Sriperumbudur
• Hours: 24x7 rotational shifts (NOC-based)
• Travel: May be required between client sites.
