Senior Manager – Quality

Opportunity:

UHPC, the material, is spreading its wings in India and the role will offer immense growth potential to the hired candidate. Moving from Concrete to UHPC will be both challenging and rewarding and the hired candidate will find him or herself within the top knowledge persons in UHPC field application in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the quality control and quality assurance operations for all UHPC production and application activities.
• Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for UHPC quality.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of UHPC in production, transportation, and placement to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with BIS/IS standards, ASTM, ACI, MORTH, and other relevant quality norms.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality-related issues.
• Coordinate with production, R&D, site execution, and procurement teams for material approvals and UHPC mix designs.
• Supervise the project site UHPC laboratories and ensure calibration of testing equipment and competency of lab staff.
• Review and approve UHPC mix designs based on project requirements and environmental conditions.
• Conduct audits at batching plants and project sites to ensure continuous quality improvements.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and third-party agencies regarding quality control matters and inspections.
• Train and mentor junior quality engineers and lab technicians to maintain high-quality standards across operations.
• Prepare and present regular reports on UHPC performance, test results, Non-Conformance Reports, and audit findings to senior management.
• Develop statistical data analysis of results across projects.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Qualification:

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering; M.Tech in Concrete Technology preferred.

• Experience:

• Minimum 

  10 years

   of experience in QA/QC of concrete in construction, infrastructure, or RMC sector.

• Technical Skills:

·        In-depth knowledge of concrete mix design, admixtures, durability, and performance evaluation.

·        Proficiency in IS codes, ASTM, and other concrete testing standards.

·        Experience with testing equipment, lab operations, and concrete technology software/tools.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Background:

• Prior experience in large infrastructure or real estate projects.
• Exposure to high-performance concrete, and sustainability practices.
• Experience in managing multi-location batching plants or RMC operations.
