Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect Job Type: Full-Time Introduction: We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions using AWS technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, including scalability, security, and cost optimization. As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure is highly reliable, secure, and cost-efficient. If you have a passion for innovative cloud solutions and driving cloud transformation, we would love to have you on our team. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions on AWS to meet the organization’s technical and business needs. Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure using AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, EKS, and Redshift. Lead the design of multi-tier cloud architectures that are secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant. Cloud Infrastructure Strategy: Define and lead the cloud strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. Implement and manage AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK for the provisioning and automation of infrastructure. Provide expertise in choosing the right AWS services for specific workloads and ensure they align with best practices for performance, scalability, and security. Security and Compliance: Design cloud architectures with a focus on security, ensuring that AWS security best practices are followed, including the use of IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and other AWS security services. Lead the implementation of compliance controls in the cloud to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2). Define and manage cloud access controls, identity management, and encryption strategies to ensure robust security. Cost Optimization: Implement cost-effective solutions in AWS by utilizing services such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Trusted Advisor, and AWS Budgets to monitor and optimize cloud spending. Guide teams on selecting the right instance types, storage options, and automation tools to reduce cloud costs while maintaining performance. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth integration of cloud architecture with existing applications and services. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and mentor to team members on best practices for cloud architecture and AWS technologies. Provide technical leadership during the design and implementation phases of cloud-based solutions. Cloud Migration & Transformation: Lead or support the migration of on-premises applications, databases, and infrastructure to AWS cloud environments. Work with teams to assess current on-premises workloads and define cloud migration strategies that minimize disruption and optimize performance post-migration. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest AWS features and services and continuously look for innovative solutions to enhance cloud infrastructure. Implement best practices and frameworks for deploying cloud-native applications, microservices, and serverless architectures. Required Skills And Qualifications Cloud Architecture Expertise: Proven experience designing and implementing complex cloud architectures on AWS. In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, VPC, Redshift, and more. Expertise in designing multi-region, multi-account AWS environments with high availability and disaster recovery strategies. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and/or AWS CDK for automating the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure. Security & Compliance: Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices and experience with AWS security services such as IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, and how to implement these in the cloud. Cost Management: Experience in managing and optimizing cloud costs, utilizing tools like AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and AWS Trusted Advisor. Cloud Native & Modern Architectures: Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and serverless technologies using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and SNS. Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS) and deploying containerized applications on AWS. Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to lead and influence teams, driving alignment on cloud strategy and implementation. Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (preferred). Additional AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Advanced Networking are a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Hybrid Architectures: Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and integration between on-premises infrastructure and AWS cloud. DevOps & Automation: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, and Chef for automating deployments to AWS. Show more Show less
