Role Overview
As part of NxtWave’s legal team, the
Senior Associate / Assistant Manager / Manager - Litigation
will play a key role in shaping and executing
preventive and curative litigation strategies
.You will handle disputes, ensure compliance, and manage risk mitigation efforts to protect the company’s legal and business interests.This role offers hands-on exposure across
litigation, contracts, and compliance
, working closely with leadership and external counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Management & Dispute Resolution
- Manage ongoing and potential cases across civil, criminal, labor, consumer, and regulatory domains.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents — pleadings, affidavits, notices, and replies.
- Liaise with police authorities, file complaints/FIRs, and represent the company before courts and tribunals.
- Conduct legal research, prepare case briefs, and maintain case trackers.
- Coordinate with external counsel and ensure timely filings and hearings.
- Support mediation, settlements, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Respond to notices, summons, and inquiries from statutory/regulatory authorities.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Identify potential litigation risks and develop preventive strategies.
- Recommend action plans to mitigate exposure and safeguard company interests.
Contract Management
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to minimize contractual risks and ensure legal soundness.
General Legal Support
- Monitor legal developments and assess business impact.
- Provide legal advice to management and operational teams.
- Maintain organized legal documentation and participate in process improvements.
Qualifications
Role Experience Requirement
Litigation Manager
5+ years of litigation experience (corporate or law firm)
Assistant Litigation Manager
4+ years of experience
Senior Litigation Associate
2+ years of experience🎓
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB / LLM)

- Strong command of litigation, contract law, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent drafting, research, and analytical abilities
- Clear and concise communication (written & verbal)
- Ability to work independently, with strong ownership and attention to detail
- Effective coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities
