Your role

• Participate in front to back architecture, design and development activities
• Design and develop technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• Apply a broad range of software engineering best practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-location pod’s/scrum teams to implement and deliver new features
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements

Your team

You’ll be working in the Trading Platform crew in Switzerland which is part of the Trade and Transfer Assets Stream. We build, support and transform trading applications for UBS Global Wealth Management and P&C Clients. Our Platform is used globally both internally and externally 24/7 and is truly cross-asset supporting Equities, Funds, Fixed income, FX, MoneyMarket, Structure Products, Digital assets.

Your expertise

• 12+ years of experience in Java development, with a solid knowledge of Java, both at Functional and Object-Oriented Programming level, Test Driven Development and testing automation
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot and JPA (Hibernate)
• Experience working and leading agile teams and communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Expert knowledge of design patterns, distributed microservice architecture and observability best practices
• Excellent skills as creative problem solver and team player with great communication skills and fluent in English
• Accustomed with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Experience with Cloud native technology (Azure, Microservices, container technology, Kubernetes) and DevOps
• Experience with source control systems (e.g. GitLab), build tools and CI/CD
• Experience with databases (relational and others), designing RESTful APIs and Kafka
• A track record of delivering successful, complex, large scale applications
  

Preferably:

• 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry
• Web development with React, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS and Web unit / integration testing
