Responsibilities

• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
• Test, or verify proper functioning of software patches and fixes.
• Supervise the work of software programmers, technicians and engineering personnel.
• Review the work of software programmers and engineers.
• Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Consult with users, management, vendors and technicians to access computing needs and system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science;
• 8+ years of work experience; 7+ years of Software Development experience; 2+ years of experience in building and leading strong engineering teams
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, ideally familiar with IAM, EC2, ECS and other core AWS components
• Experience in building scalable, responsive applications using server side NodeJS, JavaScript (ES6/7).
• Write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Troubleshoot database issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Strong experience in defining and applying design standards, patterns, quality matrix depending on the solutions.
• Experienced in modern dev tools, process and methodologies like TDD, Unit Testing & Functional testing using Jest, cypress or other frameworks.
• Experience in ReactJS is preferred
