Summary:

The Product Owner (PO) plays a pivotal role in delivering enterprise-scale data platform and migration solutions that drive sales and revenue motions across company environments. This is a highly technical role that blends platform expertise, data acumen, and Agile product management to maximize business value. The PO bridges strategy and execution by defining technical requirements, maintaining backlog health, and guiding engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and high-quality solutions.
 
This role sits within the Q2C Data team, responsible for data migration, quality, data publishing, and reporting (audit/reconciliation/sox/data quality) using company’s approved data and integration stack. The PO must demonstrate fluency in data engineering, cloud platforms, integrations, and APIs while driving Agile best practices for technical product delivery. The role also requires heavy collaboration across AMER and APAC time zones, serving as a regional SME and Product Owner to field engineering questions, provide technical context, and ensure continuous alignment across global delivery teams.
 

Responsibilities:

Product & Platform Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives, ensuring scalability, reusability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Lead planning and delivery for large-scale data migration programs, from mapping and transformation to execution and quality validation.
  • Translate product strategy into actionable technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Anticipate and resolve technical blockers, dependencies, and integration conflicts across multiple systems.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, and data governance to ensure platform solutions align with global strategy.

Agile Leadership

  • Drive Agile best practices across teams, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Lead PI planning sessions, aligning capacity, dependencies, and priorities across delivery teams.
  • Define sprint goals, prioritize sprint backlog, and adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Shield delivery teams from scope creep, while keeping them focused on outcomes and commitments.
  • Maintain backlog health with well-defined, testable, and prioritized stories tied to epics/projects.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Engagement

  • Act as the voice of customers, stakeholders, and users in technical delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, Data Governance, Security, and UX to shape scope and options.
  • Negotiate priorities with business partners and align delivery capacity with roadmap demands.
  • Represent the Data Platform in cross-functional initiatives with a small but critical set of dependencies.
  • Serve as APAC SME Product Owner, answering engineering questions, clarifying requirements, and unblocking teams in-region.
  • Coordinate heavily across AMER and APAC time zones, ensuring seamless global handoffs and delivery continuity.

Data & Technical Execution

  • Perform data analysis using relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL) and complex queries.
  • Define field mappings and enforce governance across company orgs to improve data quality and harmonization.
  • Drive ETL/ELT pipelines and maintain integrations across Snowflake, Data Cloud, Heroku, Force.com, Tableau, and MuleSoft.
  • Document as-is/to-be data models, processes, and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Apply API-first and event-driven architecture principles for scalable integrations.
  • Act as SME for cross-org reporting, dashboards, and analytics use cases.
 

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of professional experience, with 3+ years as a Product Owner, Data Product Analyst, or equivalent technical product role.
  • Relational Databases & Advanced SQL
  • Data visualization & reporting (Tableau/Tableau CRM)
  • Integration platforms (MuleSoft)
  • Python for data processing and automation
  • Proven experience delivering data platforms and large-scale data migration programs.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide actionable insights with incomplete data.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile product management for technical products, including leading PI planning.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical detail for diverse global audiences.
  • Experience working across global teams (AMER and APAC) with significant time zone overlap.
 

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with Einstein AI suite and applying AI/ML in data-driven products.
  • Knowledge of API-first, event-driven, and microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience with data migration at scale and implementing data quality frameworks.
