Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior People Partner for GTM and Finance at Avalara, you will be a strategic HR partner to the global Go-to-Market and Finance teams. Your primary responsibility will be to drive engagement, talent development, and culture programs that support scalable growth and operational excellence. You will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing outcomes through data, coaching, and people strategies while balancing long-term thinking with hands-on execution. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with GTM and Finance leaders to align people strategies with business goals to drive performance, retention, and growth. - Deliver key HR initiatives focusing on talent development, succession planning, engagement, and culture. - Utilize people data and insights to guide decisions, enhance team effectiveness, and support organizational design. - Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to identify skill gaps, build succession pipelines, and facilitate scalable hiring. - Provide coaching to leaders and employees on feedback, performance, and development following Avalara's continuous performance model. - Work with Engagement, Talent Management, and broader P&C teams to reinforce inclusion, belonging, and team health. - Address employee relations matters and workplace issues in collaboration with Employee Relations and Legal to ensure compliance and maintain a healthy environment. - Enhance HR processes by streamlining workflows, identifying automation opportunities, and ensuring adherence to policies and employment laws. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on direct business partner support. - Experience in advising senior leaders and collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. - Strong coaching skills with a proven track record in talent development, organizational design, and employee relations. - General knowledge of employment laws and HR practices in India. - Solid business acumen with the ability to leverage people data effectively for decision-making. - Proficiency in HRIS tools, with experience in Workday preferred, and adept at working with multiple business systems. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across global teams.,
