In the Global Assessments & People Analytics & Insights group at Citigroup, you will work on solving business problems using workforce and business data. Your role involves conducting analyses to enable evidence-based decision-making, utilizing statistical models to predict future outcomes, and providing actionable insights. The mission of the team is to equip decision-makers with data-driven insights through analytics to make informed decisions about individuals, teams, and organizations to enhance business performance. As the Lead Data Product Manager, you will bridge the gap between technical data science teams, business stakeholders, and enterprise data consumers. Your primary responsibility will be to drive impactful decision-making through scalable, user-centric data products. This includes owning the lifecycle of internal data tools, regulatory dashboards, and advanced analytics products supporting areas such as workforce planning, talent insights, and organizational health monitoring. Your key responsibilities will include: - Defining and driving the data product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business priorities across HR, compliance, and leadership teams. - Managing a portfolio of internal data and AI products from concept through launch and iteration, focusing on usability, scalability, and adoption. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into high-impact solutions. - Developing and maintaining product documentation, use cases, and KPIs to measure effectiveness and ensure product success. - Promoting a product mindset within the data function, balancing technical feasibility, business value, and regulatory compliance. - Leading and mentoring a team of product managers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and customer focus. - Managing stakeholder communications, demos, and training to drive smooth adoption and value realization across the organization. - Staying updated on emerging trends in data, AI, and workforce technology to continuously enhance product offerings. Qualifications required for this role: - 10+ years of experience in product management, data analytics, or technology strategy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record of launching successful internal or B2B data products, preferably in enterprise or regulated environments. - Strong understanding of data governance, user experience, and AI/ML product development lifecycle. - Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align across all levels of the organization. - Experience in leading cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business partners. - Familiarity with people data, HR systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors), and regulatory frameworks is a plus. - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or business; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. Role & responsibilities: HR Operations Management (India & Global) Oversee employee lifecycle operations: onboarding, confirmations, transfers, exits, and documentation for both domestic and international teams. Ensure smooth and compliant HR service delivery across all geographies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors (PEOs, payroll partners, etc.). Maintain and manage employee records, HRIS data accuracy, and document control across regions. Compliance & Policy Implementation Ensure adherence to Indian labor laws (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment, POSH, etc.) and international employment regulations (including GDPR, local labor laws in EMEA/APAC). Support internal and external audits and ensure HR policies and practices are standardized yet locally adaptable. Draft, revise, and implement HR policies for global applicability while meeting country-specific compliance. Payroll & Benefits Coordination Coordinate with payroll teams (internal and outsourced) to manage payroll processing, benefits administration, and statutory filings for India and international regions. Ensure timely and accurate salary inputs, variable pay, leaves, reimbursements, and compliance deductions. HR Systems & Process Optimization Administer and maintain HRIS platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Darwinbox, Keka, etc.). Drive process automation, digitization of records, and workflow standardization across locations. Act as a liaison between HR, IT and system vendors to improve system functionalities and resolve issues. People Data, Reporting & Analytics Generate HR dashboards and reports for leadership, including headcount, attrition, joining/leaving trends, probation tracking, and HR compliance status. Support strategic decision-making with data-driven insights across geographies. Team & Stakeholder Management Lead and mentor a team of HR executives/coordinators across India and support remote international teams. Collaborate with HR, Recruitment, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to deliver a seamless employee experience globally. Act as the point of contact for all escalations related to HR operations. 5-8 years of progressive HR operations experience, with at least 23 years handling international operations (Europe/APAC preferred). Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws and familiarity with global employment practices. Proficient in using HRIS platforms and tools; excellent in Excel, reporting, and data validation. Preferred candidate profile Cross-cultural awareness and ability to work across time zones. Strong understanding of HR compliance, operations, and systems integration. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Detail-oriented, process-driven, and results-focused.
