Job Description

The Head of HR & Admin will be a strategic partner to the business and local plant leadership, responsible for managing end-to-end Human Resources, Industrial Relations (IR), Safety, and Administration functions across two manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will drive HR strategies that align with business objectives, foster a positive work culture, ensure statutory compliance, and manage the entire employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Planning

    :
    • Oversee strategic manpower planning and timely talent acquisition for all levels, including skilled shop floor personnel and managerial staff.
    • Develop effective recruitment strategies to meet the dynamic needs of both plants.
  • Industrial Relations (IR) & Employee Relations

    :
    • Lead and manage all industrial relations activities, including wage settlements, union negotiations, grievance redressal, and maintaining a harmonious work environment.
    • Implement fair and transparent employee relations practices and manage disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
  • Performance & Compensation Management

    :
    • Design, implement, and manage a robust Performance Management System (PMS) that drives accountability and productivity.
    • Oversee compensation and benefits structure, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • HR Planning & Operations

    :
    • Drive end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and HR policy implementation across both plants.
    • Ensure effective coordination with corporate HR for standardization of HR processes.
  • Statutory Compliance & Contract Labor Management

    :
    • Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable labor laws, including the Factories Act, PF, ESIC, and other relevant statutes.
    • Efficiently manage contract labor, ensuring all vendor compliance and welfare measures are in place.
  • Training and Development

    :
    • Identify training needs and implement development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Safety & Administration

    :
    • Collaborate with plant leadership to enforce stringent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and compliance with the Factory Act.
    • Oversee all general plant administration, facilities management, security, and employee welfare activities.
  • Skills

    :
    • Deep expertise in Indian labour laws, industrial relations, and statutory compliance.
    • Proven track record in managing complete HR functions for large workforces, ideally across multi-site locations.
    • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive change and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education

    :

    MBA or MSW (Master of Social Work) - Only Full-Time qualifications will be considered

    .

  • Experience

    : Minimum 16-22 years of progressive HR experience, with significant exposure to plant-level HR management within the manufacturing or automotive industry.

  • Must be willing to relocate to or reside within a 10-12 KM radius of the Ranjangaon plant area in Pune.
