We are seeking a
Senior Frontend Engineer
to join our engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing and implementing complex frontend solutions, mentor developers, and influence the technical direction of the frontend architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and maintainable systems that align with business goals. This position requires strong leadership, an ability to operate independently, and a deep understanding of frontend technologies, architecture, and system design.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and own design/implementation of medium and large features with minimal guidance, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and maintainability across the entire system.
- Mentor and guide junior frontend developers, helping them grow and succeed by setting clear technical direction and providing constructive feedback.
- Drive collaboration across teams (frontend, backend, UX/UI), ensuring seamless integration and fostering a collaborative team culture that aligns with business goals.
- Enforce coding standards and best practices, driving continuous improvement in code quality, design patterns, and frontend architecture.
- Solve complex, cross-team problems by applying systems thinking, proposing architectural changes, and suggesting improvements to enhance the entire system’s performance.
- Champion technical excellence by identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, optimizing frontend solutions for speed and responsiveness, and staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Influence technical decisions and contribute to the overall frontend architecture strategy, proposing large-scale design and implementation improvements.
- Lead and actively participate in code reviews, providing strong influence in ensuring high-quality, consistent code across the team.
- Research and propose technology improvements and process optimizations that increase team efficiency and address long-standing technical debt or operational issues.
- Manage team goals and drive execution, collaborating with leadership to ensure alignment on business and system metrics.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in frontend software engineering with a strong understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern frameworks like React, Vue.js).
- Proven experience in systems thinking, architecture, and design applicable to large-scale systems owned by the team.
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of medium and large features, delivering them with minimal guidance while meeting deadlines and high standards.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions, mentor peers, and guide the team towards successful execution of complex projects.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to manage operational load and guide strategic planning to address technical debt and scalability challenges.
- Experience with performance optimization, debugging, and identifying process improvements to enhance both product quality and team efficiency.
