Senior Financial Accountant

Role

As a Senior Accountant at AppsTech Solution, you will play a key role in the Finance team, overseeing the preparation of financial statements, ensuring GST and other statutory compliance, conducting detailed financial analysis, and supporting overall financial management and reporting. This role demands strong technical accounting skills, analytical aptitude, and the ability to drive improved financial processes within a dynamic IT-services environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flows) in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries, ledger reconciliation, and review of supporting schedules.
• Manage GST compliance: preparation and filing of returns, ensuring timely submission, and handling any related queries or audits.
• Monitor all financial transactions; maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations (including vendor, customer, inter-company) and review expense & revenue recognition.
• Perform detailed financial analysis — variance analysis (budget vs actuals), trend analysis, cost/benefit and profitability analysis; present insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to finance and taxation (GST, TDS, other indirect taxes) within the IT services sector.
• Support audit processes — internal and external audits — by preparing required schedules, liaising with auditors, and implementing audit recommendations.
• Work with cross-functional teams (operations, IT infrastructure, facility management) to convert business transactions into clean accounting flows and ensure finance controls are in place.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve internal controls, enhance automation and increase efficiency of financial operations.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years or more) in accounting roles — ideally within the IT services, infrastructure or managed services industry.
• Strong expertise in preparing financial statements, financial reporting and detailed financial analysis.
• Excellent knowledge of GST compliance and other relevant Indian statutory tax/regulatory requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with financial/accounting software/ERP systems.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure, manage deadlines, and interact effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to present financial data to non-finance team members and senior management.
• Prior experience working in an IT/ infrastructure/ services company is a plus.
