Job Summary The Finance and Accounting Executive is responsible for managing the financial planning, accounting processes, accounts payable, compliance, and other finance-related activities. This role ensures that the company’s financial health is maintained through accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient management of financial resources. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for various business units. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis. Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Accounting and Reporting: Maintain and oversee the company’s general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Accounts Payable: Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices. Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Manage payment approvals and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax filings. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as necessary. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity for operational needs. Coordinate with banks for payments, fund transfers, and other financial transactions. Assist in managing investment activities and evaluating funding opportunities. Taxation: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including timely filing of tax returns. Handle tax-related audits and inquiries from tax authorities. Process Improvement and Automation: Identify areas for process improvement within finance and accounting operations. Support the implementation of financial software and automation tools to improve efficiency. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including HR, procurement, and operations, to provide financial insights and support. Assist in training and mentoring junior finance staff as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Proven experience (4-5 years) in finance and accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws. Proficiency in Tally accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
