Senior Engineer - Design

This role is responsible for end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of industrial fans and rotating equipment, from concept development and performance calculations to detailed engineering, manufacturing support, and technical documentation. The position requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-optimized designs in line with customer specifications and international standards.

Employment Type

Full-time (6 months' probation period followed by permanent position)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / industrial / production engineering

Experience

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in mechanical design of industrial equipment
• Prior experience in industrial fans, blowers, rotating equipment, or heavy machinery is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and aerodynamic design of industrial fans and related systems
• Carry out material selection and stress analysis of impeller components and shaft. Selection of bearing, bearing housing, coupling and other accessories
• Prepare and review 3D models, 2D drawings and BOMs for manufacturing
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal standards, and applicable codes
• Coordinate with customer for drawing approval
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, inspection, installation, and commissioning
• Support cost optimization and value engineering initiatives
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and design records
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement activities

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Siemens NX/ SolidWorks is mandatory
• Experience with design standards (ISO, DIN, ASME, API, AMCA as applicable) is desirable
• Ability to perform and validate engineering calculations
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Effective communication and cross-functional coordination abilities
