Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Senior Executive EV Sales to be based at our Head Office in Coimbatore . This is a multi-dimensional role with 80% focus on direct retail two-wheeler sales , and 20% on strategic sales involving battery partnerships with other OEMs (10%) and electric vehicle leasing solutions for corporates, startups, and individual customers (10%). The ideal candidate will be capable of both delivering front-end customer excellence and managing key business development initiatives. Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Retail Two-Wheeler EV Sales 80% Focus You will be primarily responsible for managing the end-to-end retail sales operations at the Coimbatore Head Office showroom. This includes welcoming walk-in customers, explaining product features and specifications, conducting test rides, offering financing support, and ensuring a smooth purchase experience from inquiry to delivery. You will serve as the face of SVM for customers, acting as a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and professional brand ambassador. Achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets is a critical KPI. You will be expected to proactively pursue leads, convert inquiries into bookings, and continuously improve conversion rates. You’ll handle both inbound leads from digital platforms and outbound follow-ups through calls and physical visits, ensuring high responsiveness and closure rates. 2. Field Sales & Sales Campaign Execution In addition to showroom-based sales, you will play a key role in executing field sales activities and local brand activation campaigns. You will organize and participate in outdoor promotional activities such as test ride campaigns, college and corporate roadshows, residential society activations, and weekend sales campaigns across the Coimbatore region. Your presence at high-footfall locations like IT parks, shopping malls, exhibitions, and auto expos will help increase visibility, generate leads, and boost sales conversions. Working with the marketing team, you will help implement region-specific promotions, distribute marketing collateral, and engage with potential customers face-to-face. You will be responsible for setting up field sales infrastructure such as demo bikes, tents, banners, and registration booths, and ensuring these campaigns are well-executed and aligned with the brand guidelines. Your on-ground efforts will directly contribute to achieving the company’s local sales goals. 3. Battery Sales to Other OEMs – 10% Focus Part of your role involves supporting SVM’s battery business by connecting with other electric vehicle OEMs that could benefit from our battery solutions. You will identify potential partners, build relationships with decision-makers, understand their requirements, and offer battery products suited to their vehicle platforms. This includes providing product information, coordinating technical discussions with internal teams, and helping close B2B sales opportunities. You will assist in preparing proposals, basic commercial negotiations, and ensuring smooth delivery and post-sale support. Your knowledge of the EV ecosystem and ongoing interaction with industry players will help position SVM as a trusted supplier of high-performance battery solutions. 4. EV Leasing for Corporates & Individuals – 10% Focus You will also support the expansion of SVM’s EV leasing model by promoting flexible leasing plans to corporates, startups, and individual customers. This includes pitching vehicle leasing benefits during field campaigns, setting up meetings with procurement heads or fleet managers, and helping structure customized leasing proposals. Your responsibility will include understanding clients’ business use cases, coordinating with internal finance and legal teams, and ensuring smooth onboarding and after-sales servicing of leased vehicles. This initiative is crucial to building long-term, recurring customer relationships and supporting sustainable mobility for businesses. 5. Reporting, CRM Management & Strategy Support You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and updated data on leads, sales performance, and campaign results using CRM and reporting tools. Regular reporting on pipeline status, market feedback, field campaign insights, and competitor activities will be expected. Cross-functional collaboration with the marketing, logistics, product, and operations teams will be essential to ensure high customer satisfaction and process efficiency. Your feedback from the field and direct customer interactions will help shape product enhancements and strategic decisions.
Major Key Responsibilities Area Responsible for performing regular service and maintenance of our products at our in-house service facility. This includes checking critical components like the battery, motor, controller, brakes, tires, suspension, and other electrical and mechanical systems. Ensuring timely and preventive maintenance helps avoid breakdowns and extends the lifespan of the bikes. Diagnosis and Troubleshooting : You will assist in identifying technical issues through systematic inspection and basic diagnostic tools. Whether its an electrical fault, performance drop, or hardware failure, your role is to find and address the problem efficiently. Working closely with senior engineers Research and Development Department, you'll help in resolving the root cause of customer complaints and suggest preventive measures. On-Site Customer Service Support : The role involves traveling to customer locations when needed for periodic servicing, emergency repairs, or complaint resolution. You will be expected to carry the necessary tools, spare parts, and perform on-the-spot diagnosis and repair. Ensuring timely service at the customers location will be crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction and trust. Warranty Support and Complaint Handling: Handling basic warranty-related service requests is a key part of the role. You will assist in assessing the claim validity, replace or repair faulty parts under supervision, and ensure proper documentation is submitted for warranty tracking. Collecting defective parts and providing feedback helps improve product quality. Customer Education and Interaction : An important responsibility is to guide customers on proper usage, charging habits, and basic maintenance of electric bikes. Educating customers helps reduce misuse, increases satisfaction, and ensures safer operation. Your ability to clearly communicate instructions and handle queries will directly impact the service experience. Documentation and Service Reporting : You must maintain detailed and accurate records of all service activities, including job cards, field visit logs, and spare part usage at our ERP Systmen (Odoo). Reporting your daily tasks, service completion status, and customer feedback to your supervisor is necessary. Familiarity with MS Excel or service software will help in systematic data entry and tracking. Educational Qualification : Diploma/Any Engineering Graduate with related discipline at least 3+ years of experience in Automobile Industry with track record of Technical Support / Service Department. Additional certification or training in EV systems, diagnostics, or technical support will be an added advantage Skills and Competencies : 1. Basic knowledge of EV components – battery, motor, controller, wiring, etc. 2. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. 3. Hands-on experience in servicing, repairs and technical support. 4.
