Position title: Sr. Design Engineer Department: Design Location : Vasai Full/Part-time: Full Time Organizational relationships Reports to: Manager Design Supervises: Draughtsman Coordinates with: Internal Department, Industrial Services, Production, Stores, Purchase, Logistics & QA. Academic qualification Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering Experience Relevant: min 4 - 5 year experience in Wastewater Treatment Industry Total: 5 - 7 years Technical skills Knowledge of MSOffice Knowledge of Drawing Software AutoCAD, CAM Knowledge of technical terms Soft skills Effective communication skills Excellent Inter-personal skills Effective organization skills Effective team management skills Effective conflict management skills Effective problem solving skills Effective time management skills Effective leadership skills Effective negotiation skills Highly motivated self starter Strong analytical skills; ability to understand the big picture while being extremely attentive to details Primary Responsibilities To undertake preparation of design calculations for upcoming projects through optimum usage of standard design data and site reports as per the customer requirements. To ensure timely compilation of ISO related documentation. To review P & ID, layout & foundation drawings (on receipt of order) for project prepared by technical draughtsman. To provide the accurate drawings to the client as well as to the production department. To prepare & standardize bill of material (BOM) / supplement BOMs for projects as per requirement. To interact with clients on phone or to visit the respective sites for any design or drawing clarifications as per requirement ensuring complete clarification of clients’ doubts or queries and to guide them to complete their scope of activities. Supervising design engineer and checking design and making corrections if any Secondary Responsibilities Preparation of electrical input / output list for control panel as per requirement with 100% accuracy and to provide the same to the production department & the panel builder for logic programming & panel building. Interaction with suppliers for requirement of any design related data as per requirement with 100% accuracy ensuring timely receipt of the same.
