Join the Business Intelligence and Technology Insights, Reporting and Analytics team as a Senior Data Engineer, where you will design, build, and maintain robust data solutions. We are looking for a senior-level Microsoft Power BI developer who can own the entire lifecycle of building analytics solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem. This role is hands-on, highly technical, and focused on transforming raw data into scalable, high-performing, and insightful dashboards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect scalable data products, ingestion pipelines, and application programming interface (API) connections across diverse sources such as Microsoft SQL Server, web APIs, Microsoft OneLake, and Microsoft Fabric Dataflows
  • Cleanse, join, and standardize data using Microsoft Power Query, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Python for consistent and reusable reporting assets
  • Design and optimize analytical data models - including star schema and snowflake models - as well as relationships, hierarchies, and robust security approaches such as row-level and object-level security
  • Develop advanced calculations, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business measures using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX); integrate Python and make use of artificial intelligence tools for analytics and insights
  • Build and deploy Microsoft Power BI dashboards that adhere to best practices in usability, accessibility, and design, ensuring solutions are optimized for large-scale use
  • Tune queries, data models, and reports for peak performance, applying governance standards for data certification, metadata management, and clear naming conventions
  • Drive adoption of enterprise standards for Power BI deployment workflows and data management practices
  • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and user training on Microsoft Power Platform capabilities
  • Champion continuous improvement, and stay up to date on trends in data engineering and analytics
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Five to seven years in data engineering, business reporting, or analytics roles
  • Advanced and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Python
  • Experience working in onshore-offshore delivery models and global, fast-paced business environments
  • Track record of integrating and managing data across enterprise technology platforms
  • Deep understanding of database technologies, such as Amazon RedShift, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
  • Proven ability to deliver secure and scalable data solutions and process automation
  • Familiarity with implementing comprehensive data governance, including row-level security
  • Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies, such as Kanban and Scrum
  • Excellent communication skills for clear requirements gathering and end-user support
Nice to Have:
  • Experience or knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks
  • Exposure to embedding Microsoft Power BI dashboards into applications or web portals
  • Experience with Bonita Business Process Management, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and cloud-based database platforms
