Senior Business Development Associate

Reports To:


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Relations

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the clean energy, infrastructure, and sustainability domains.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.

• Understand client requirements and translate them into tailored technical and commercial proposals.

• Support business growth strategies and assist in defining target geographies, sectors, and services.

Market Research & Proposal Development

• Conduct market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and opportunity mapping.

• Lead and review proposal development, EOIs, and pre-qualification documents.

• Coordinate with technical teams to gather inputs and prepare compelling, compliant submissions.

• Maintain a database of opportunities, leads, and ongoing pursuits through CRM tools.

Collaboration & Representation

• Collaborate with practice leads and senior management to develop win strategies.

• Represent the company at client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

• Support brand-building through coordination of marketing collaterals, presentations, and digital content.

• Contribute to internal BD process improvements and reporting dashboards.


Candidate Profile


  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:

    8–10 years overall experience, with at least 5 years in business development or client relations within the clean energy, sustainability, or engineering sectors.
  • Technical Skills:

    Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, sustainability practices, and engineering services. Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and proposal tools.
  • Other Skills:

    Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to manage multiple pursuits and meet deadlines. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Travel:

    Occasional travel within India and abroad for client meetings and events.
