About the Role

Senior Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Develop and review civil, structural, geotechnical, and hydrology designs for renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, substations, BESS, and green hydrogen facilities).

• Prepare site development layouts, grading, drainage, and foundation engineering packages.

• Ensure designs comply with IS codes, Eurocodes, AISC, ASCE, and lender/client specifications.

• Validate soil and geotechnical data to optimize foundation and structural systems.

• Review design drawings, calculations, and reports to maintain accuracy and consistency.

Project Delivery

• Lead the in-house civil and structural engineering team, including engineers and drafters.

• Ensure timely delivery of design packages in coordination with electrical, renewables, and project management teams.

• Provide technical support during construction, including RFIs, field clarifications, and site design adjustments.

• Contribute to QA/QC processes and compliance with internal design standards.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with business development teams to provide technical inputs for proposals, cost estimates, and constructability checks.

• Participate in technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering engagements.

• Coordinate with external consultants, EPCs, and clients to align design deliverables and project goals.

• Mentor junior civil engineers and support training and development within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Education:

  BE/BTech in Civil Engineering; MTech in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering preferred.

• Experience:

  10–15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably in the renewable energy or power sector.

• Technical Skills:

  Strong knowledge of foundation design, site grading, and structural analysis using tools like STAAD, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

• Other Skills:

  Ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination, lead project teams, and deliver within tight timelines. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
