Senior Associate/Lead – Investment Banking - Tech Services M&A

 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate with relevant Capital Raise or M&A deal origination and full life-cycle experience across the Tech-enabled Services, AI, Data, and broader IT Services sector. Ideally, you have experience working with Technology Founders, CEOs and Investors to originate and drive the deal process successfully and create meaningful financial and strategic outcomes for clients. The ideal candidate brings relevant front-end Investment Banking or Venture Capital experience within the Technology/Tech Services/Embedded Software/Semicon industry with a strong track record of working with Founders and Investors to structure deals and build the right solutions for growth, capital, M&A or other strategic deal outcomes that create value for stakeholders. Deal-making Experience across a wide range of Technology industry verticals (AI, Data Analytics, Cloud, Consulting, B2B SaaS, FinTech, etc.) would be a plus. As a Senior Associate/Lead - Investment Banking you will take on various responsibilities such as leading transactions and the firms growth strategy in specific industry sectors, networking and outreach activities within the assigned Technology sector/ Region(US, Europe, APAC) and to drive a strong deal pipeline and execute end-to-end deals. You must have proficiency with coaching a team/be hands-on in preparing a range of investment collateral - pitch decks/IMs, investment memos, and have strong communication skills with an ability to conceptualise deal strategy, originate and execute transactions independently and coach the Analyst team/grow the team as required. Experience with running a range of sell-side Cap Raise or M&A transactions and a strong ambition to lead a larger portfolio or sector is a plus.

  • Leading M&A and Investment sourcing, networking and outreach activities for the assigned Technology sector(s). This involves building relations with Tech founders, CEOs, investment banking professionals, institutional investors and strategic acquirers.
  • Identifying and engaging with Founders of Technology companies across different sub sectors such as IT Services, AI, Cloud, IoT, etc. to qualify opportunities for capital or M&A
  • Building and maintaining M&A deal pipeline, dashboards and driving closures independently
  • Lead Pitching activities for new deals and prepare required presentations to engage new clients
  • Planning and organising investor/CxO networking events and specialised investment industry thought leadership panels
  • Planning and participating in discovery calls with qualified companies, investors, etc. and creating new opportunities for engagements

 

Key Requirements:

  • An individual with a demonstrated track record of leading Cap Raise and M&A transactions and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, environment
  • 5-8 years of investment banking experience within the Technology sector focused Investment banking, venture Capital or PE firm.
  • Educational background with MBA finance and CA/CFA background is a plus.
  • A curious, investment-oriented individual who is a passionate about AI-led disruption, Digital Transformation, new-age business models, value creation.
  • Must have strong inner drive and self-discipline, proficiency in Financial Anlaysis, Excel modeling.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills and effective communication with Founders and Investors.
