Role Overview:

Senior Associate – Back Office Operations

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Lifecycle Management:

• Process and validate trades across equities, derivatives, and other instruments
• Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and fund administrators to ensure timely and accurate settlement
• Monitor and resolve trade breaks and exceptions promptly

Cash, Position & NAV Reconciliations:

• Perform daily reconciliation of fund accounts, cash balances, open positions, and NAV with custodians and administrators
• Investigate discrepancies and ensure resolution within prescribed timelines

Fund Administration & Investor Operations:

• Liaise with fund administrators for NAV validation, performance fee calculations, and investor reporting
• Support onboarding of investors, subscription/redemption processes, and capital activity records
• Coordinate with compliance for reporting and regulatory filings (SEBI, IFSCA, etc.)

Operational Reporting & Documentation:

• Generate daily P&L and exposure reports for internal stakeholders
• Maintain robust documentation and audit trails for all operational activities
• Assist with internal and external audits, including responding to data requests

Process Development & Controls:

• Contribute to the creation and enhancement of SOPs and operational control frameworks
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of technology tools for automation and scale

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA/MBA is an advantage)
• 3–7 years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, PMS/AIF operations, or similar roles
• Solid understanding of financial instruments, particularly equities and derivatives
• Experience with fund accounting and knowledge of GIFT City / IFSCA regulatory framework preferred
• Hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to build processes from scratch
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with reconciliation or OMS platforms
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders and third-party vendors
