Account Executive / Senior Account Executive (Accounts & Zoho Books Migration)

Mumbai — LBS Road, Ghatkopar, Full Time

Overview:

Walnut Advertising is an advertising agency moving our accounting system from Tally to Zoho Books. We need a hands-on Accounts professional who will run day-to-day bookkeeping and lead the migration end-to-end — planning, data mapping, migration testing, validating balances, GST/TDS compliance alignment, workflow automation and staff training.

Key responsibilities (must):

• Maintain books of accounts, reconcile bank statements, manage vendor & client invoices, expense claims and petty cash.
• Full ownership of migration: map COA (chart of accounts), prepare migration templates from Tally, import and validate opening balances and historical entries in Zoho Books.
• Configure Zoho Books: Chart of Accounts, GST settings, tax details, customer/vendor master, invoice templates, recurring invoices, approvals, automations, and integrations (e.g., Zoho CRM / payment gateways) where needed.
• Ensure statutory compliance: GST, TDS, monthly/quarterly filings coordination with external CA.
• Create SOPs for accounting workflows in Zoho Books and train the accounts/ops team.
• Troubleshoot migration issues; maintain migration logs and a roll-back plan.
• Provide weekly migration progress reports, deliver migration checklist and go-live sign-off.

Minimum qualifications & experience (must):

• B.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in accounts / agency finance; experience with client billing and agency P&L is preferred.
• Proven hands-on experience with 

  Zoho Books

   (daily usage + configuration) and 

  Tally

   (data export/import familiarity). Evidence of at least one migration or implementation project is strongly preferred.  

Nice to have:

• Zoho certified (Books / CRM) or Zoho implementation experience.
• Exposure to Zoho One / Zoho Flow / marketplace integrations / scripting.
• Experience in advertising agency finance (retainers, client advances, production pass-through costs).

KPIs / success metrics (first 90 days):

• Migration plan and test import completed within 45 days.
• Reconciled opening balances verified and signed off.
• 90% of recurring invoices automated and workflows documented.
• Team trained and SOPs published.
