Role Overview

Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

Maintain accurate books of accounts, journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.

Oversee daily accounting operations, expense tracking, and payment processes.

GST & Taxation:

Manage complete GST compliance — filing, reconciliation, and return submissions.

Handle TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and filing of returns.

Liaise with auditors and consultants for tax-related matters.

Financial Management:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Monitor cash flow, forecast short-term and long-term liquidity, and report the same to the founders.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness in vendor payments, payroll, reimbursements, and banking transactions.

Banking & Compliance:

Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Handle fund transfers, reconciliations, loan processing (if any), and bank-related documentation.

Ensure compliance with statutory and internal financial controls.

Reporting & Presentation:

Present clear financial insights and dashboards to the founders for strategic decision-making.

Simplify complex financial data into actionable insights and clarity on company performance.

Demonstrate accountability and ownership in all finance-related matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

CA Inter / M.Com / MBA (Finance)

4–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and financial management.

Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.

GST, TDS, and general compliance framework.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and communicate financial clarity to non-finance stakeholders.
