Job Description: The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role includes managing journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards. Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports for management. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and answering auditor questions. Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with local, state reporting requirements. Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes. Qualifications: Education: CA/ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus Experience: 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting department Skills: In-depth knowledge of GAAP Experience in Zoho Books will be given preference. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication skills and ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Day shift Application Question(s): How many years of experience do you have?
