Position Overview:
As an Accountant at Amani Travel and Tourism, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our company's financial records. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and assisting with tax compliance. Your role is critical in supporting the company's financial decision-making process and overall success.
Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other accounting transactions.
Bookkeeping: Process day-to-day financial transactions and ensure they are properly recorded in the accounting system.
Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Present financial data in a clear and concise manner for management review.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the management team to develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts for various departments and projects.
Expense Management: Monitor and analyze company expenses to ensure adherence to budgets and cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures.
Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Keep abreast of relevant tax laws and changes.
Auditing: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Provide insightful recommendations to improve financial performance.
Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Payroll Processing: Collaborate with the HR department to process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
Financial Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Systems Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
Financial Planning: Assist in long-term financial planning and investment decisions.
