Senior Account Executive - SAP

Position: Senior Account Executive

Department: Accounts / Finance

Reporting To: Finance Manager / Head of Accounts

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions using SAP (FI/CO/MM/SD modules).
• Process vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliation through SAP.
• Handle accounts receivable & payable within SAP, ensuring timely posting and settlement.
• Prepare financial statements, trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet from SAP.
• Ensure accurate bank reconciliation and inter-company reconciliation in SAP.
• Generate and analyze MIS reports directly from SAP for management review.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and other statutory requirements through SAP integration.
• Coordinate with SAP consultants for issue resolution, configuration, and process improvement.
• Monitor SAP workflows for approvals, vendor masters, and customer masters.
• Support internal & statutory audits by providing SAP-based reports and documentation.

• Accuracy and timeliness of accounting entries in SAP.
• Reduction of reconciliation differences in SAP reports.
• On-time vendor payments and improved AR collection via SAP tracking.
• Efficient generation of MIS and statutory reports from SAP.
• Zero audit issues due to SAP data gaps.
• Contribution to SAP process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent.
• SAP (FI/CO) certification preferred.
• 3–6 years of experience in accounting, with minimum 2+ years hands-on SAP experience.
• Knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and compliance requirements.

Skills Required

• Strong command over SAP FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting).
• Working knowledge of SAP integration with MM/SD modules.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS preparation).
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Good communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving ability in SAP error handling and reporting.
• Ability to train and guide junior accountants on SAP usage.
