Frontend experience is at the core of how merchants and consumers interact with GoKwik’s platform. As a Senior Software Development Engineer - Frontend, you will own the design and development of high-quality, reusable, and scalable user interfaces. This role isn’t just about coding-it’s about building seamless, intuitive experiences that drive conversions, reduce drop-offs, and enhance engagement across devices and geographies. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to innovate, scale, and deliver world-class eCommerce enablement solutions.
What You’ll Own
- Write high-quality, reusable, and scalable code for dynamic user interfaces across platforms.
- Optimize frontend components for performance across devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers to ideate, plan, and deliver features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and ensure architectural compliance with industry standards.
- Contribute to design systems and UI frameworks to enable consistent, rapid development.
- Track progress, document updates, and share status effectively with stakeholders.
- State Management: Hands-on with Redux, Zustand, or Context API
- Micro-frontend / Microservices: Practical experience building or integrating with these architectures
- JavaScript: Strong in modern JS (ES6+), async/await, promises, etc
- Involved in code review planning/contributions to frontend architecture/design systems
Who You Are
- 5-8 years of frontend development experience with JavaScript, React.js, and/or TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of modern UI frameworks (Material, Chakra, Semantic, etc.) and CSS-in-JS (Styled Components/Emotion).
- Hands-on experience with Webpack 4/5, build tools, and bundling.
- Expertise in responsive design (mobile & desktop) and unit testing (Jest).
- Familiar with debugging, performance optimization, and accessibility best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth, and collaborative environment.
