The SAP Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP modules that enable efficient execution of engineering and capital projects in the food and beverage sector. This role bridges the gap between technical systems and operational workflows, ensuring accurate data flow, process automation, and compliance across manufacturing, maintenance, and supply chain functions.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Configure and maintain SAP modules such as PM (Plant Maintenance), MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), and PS (Project Systems) to support engineering and project operations.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams to digitize workflows and improve system usability.
Develop custom reports, dashboards, and interfaces to enhance visibility into project progress, asset performance, and resource utilization.
Support SAP integration with external systems including SCADA, MES, and IoT platforms.
Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure data accuracy, master data governance, and compliance with internal controls and food industry standards.
Participate in SAP upgrade projects, testing cycles, and user training initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Experience:
4–8 years in SAP engineering or functional consulting within food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing
Modules:
Hands-on experience with SAP PM, MM, PP, PS; exposure to S/4HANA is a plus
Tools:
Proficiency in ABAP (optional), Fiori, SAP GUI, and reporting tools like Power BI or SAP Analytics Cloud

Required Skills

Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; understanding of GMP and food safety processes is beneficial
