Job Title: Sales Manager

Location: Nagercoil

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to play a crucial role in building our sales foundation, driving revenue growth, and establishing strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate must be adaptable and proactive in developing strategic sales plans and executing them to expand our market reach and grow our customer base.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sales Strategy & Market Penetration

─ Develop and execute a sales plan tailored to the organisation’s market and product/service.

─ Identify target customers and create strategies to attract early adopters.

─ Conduct competitor analysis to position the startup effectively.

2. Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition

─ Identify potential clients through networking, cold outreach, and digital marketing.

─ Build and manage a sales pipeline using CRM tools.

─ Develop unique selling propositions (USP) to differentiate the firm’s offerings.

3. Sales Execution & Revenue Growth

─ Present and promote products/services to clients.

─ Negotiate contracts and pricing with potential customers.

─ Develop and refine the sales process based on feedback and performance.

4. Building & Managing the Sales Team

─ Recruit, train, and mentor sales team effectively.

─ Set performance goals and KPIs to measure success.

─ Create a strong sales culture that aligns with the startup’s vision.

─ Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them.

5. Customer Relationship Management

─ Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients.

─ Act as the main point of contact for key customers and partners.

─ Gather customer feedback to improve product offerings and services.

6. Sales Reporting & Data Analysis

─ Track sales metrics and report insights to founders and investors.

─ Analyse sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

─ Forecast revenue growth and set achievable sales targets.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration

─ Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies.

─ Provide customer feedback to the product team for improvements.

─ Support branding and promotional efforts to increase visibility.

8. Scaling & Business Expansion

─ Identify new markets and opportunities for growth.

─ Develop partnerships and alliances to expand reach.

─ Implement automation tools to streamline sales processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Graduate or MBA in Marketing, sales or a related field.

- 3-4 years of experience in sales and business development.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading a sales team.

- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

- CRM and sales automation tools proficeincy

- Data analysis and sales forecasting expertise.

- Ability to travel across sales territories or regions frequently.

- Certified Sales Professional, Hubspot or Salesforce Sales certification, Negotiation and Leadership training is a plus.
