Designation: Sales Manager/ Sr. Sales Manager – Intelligent Transportation Systems

Remuneration: To match the best in Industry

Place of Posting: Anywhere in South India (Hyderabad Preferred)

Position Reports to: BU Head


Brief Summary:

Responsible for driving sales and business development for Tolling, ATMS, and Smart Parking solutions with Commissionaires and building new partners in South India with thrust on Hyderabad/ Telangana Region. The role involves creating and executing strategic sales plans, managing key client accounts, overseeing CRM and contract processes, and achieving revenue targets. The Sales Manager will be responsible for both pre-sales and post-sales activities and will play a key role in expanding Vara’s footprint in the Intelligent Transportation domain.

Role & Responsibilities:

a.      Strategic Sales Planning:

Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies focused on Toll Management Systems (TMS), Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), and Smart Parking Solutions. Align plans with business unit goals and market dynamics.


b.     CRM & Contract Management:

Lead all CRM-related activities to ensure efficient tracking of sales opportunities and customer interactions. Manage the entire sales contract lifecycle – from negotiation to closure – ensuring compliance and alignment with client requirements.


c.      Sales Targets & Execution:

Drive performance through clearly defined KPIs and revenue targets. Oversee and support both pre-sales and post-sales processes, ensuring seamless coordination across functions to deliver on client expectations.


d.     Key Account Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with major clients, especially in the Tolling and Traffic Solutions domain. Act as the primary point of contact to address their needs, resolve issues, and identify upselling/ cross-selling opportunities.


Desired Education, Experience and Competencies:


Education:

MBA in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or a related discipline.


Experience:

a.      Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in the Intelligent Transportation Systems sector, specifically in Tolling, ATMS, or Smart Parking solutions.

e.      Proficient in CRM tools and reporting analytics to track performance and forecasts.
