Job Summary

The Sales Manager will lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets, expand the customer base, and strengthen client relationships. This role demands a proactive leader with excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to drive sales growth through strategic planning and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and market share objectives.
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate the sales team to improve performance and ensure achievement of sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the company’s footprint.
  • Monitor sales metrics and analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales strategies with business goals.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for senior management.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with major clients
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to sales
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales, preferably in logistics, forwarding, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales tools and CRM software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing a sales team in the forwarding or logistics division.
  • Knowledge of the Chennai market and regional business environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills.
