Purpose of the Role
As
Sales Manager – Field & Telecalling Team Lead
, you will drive growth by managing both on-ground sales executives and in-house telecallers. You will build, coach, and energize a high-performing team to acquire new customers, drive battery adoption, and deliver on ambitious sales targets. This role is central to Enerjazz’s scale-up journey and is ideal for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial, results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management & Performance
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of field sales executives and telecallers.
- Set clear sales targets and performance KPIs; monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress.
- Provide hands-on coaching, regular feedback, and motivation to drive team success.
- Sales Execution
- Plan and execute field sales activities across target geographies (market visits, roadshows, demos, local partnerships).
- Guide telecalling efforts for lead generation, customer conversion, and upselling/cross-selling.
- Resolve escalated customer queries or objections to close deals.
- Process, Reporting & CRM
- Implement structured sales processes and ensure CRM adoption for accurate tracking of leads, customer interactions, and pipeline health.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities; present regular updates to management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with operations, marketing, and customer support to ensure seamless customer onboarding and satisfaction.
- Gather market feedback and share actionable insights to refine product offerings and messaging.
Required
Skills & Competencies
- 6+ years’ experience in sales management, preferably with experience managing both field and telecalling teams in EV, automotive, FMCG, NBFC, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.) and data-driven sales management.
- Fluent in Hindi and English; additional regional languages are a plus.
Preferred
- Prior experience in electric mobility, battery, or automotive sectors.
- Familiarity with working with micro-entrepreneurs, dealers, or channel partners.
