Role Overview
As a Sales Manager – ROI, you will lead institutional and strategic partnerships across higher education institutions, universities, and skill development bodies within your assigned region. You will drive both revenue-based partnerships and CSR/Government-funded initiatives, ensuring impactful collaborations focused on student and faculty upskilling, employability, and innovation- led academic integration.This role combines sales leadership, key account management, and project partnership development with a focus on scaling outreach and revenue growth across the assigned zone.Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales & Institutional Partnerships
- Identify, onboard, and manage higher education institutions (HEIs) and skill development bodies for collaborative programs.
- Lead discussions and closures of high-value MoUs for academic collaborations, student upskilling, internships, and innovation projects.
- Engage directly with Vice Chancellors, Deans, Directors, TPOs, and CSR/CSR foundation heads to formalize partnerships.
- Drive B2I (Business-to-Institution) and B2A (Business-to-Academia) engagement models with measurable outcomes.
- CSR & Government Project Development
- Identify, pursue, and execute CSR-funded and Government skill development projects in coordination with internal teams.
- Liaise with corporate CSR departments, PSUs, and government agencies for project alignment, proposal submission, and partnership onboarding.
- Ensure compliance, documentation, and reporting as per project norms.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams for delivery and impact measurement.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and mentor a team of BDMs, Sr. BDMs, and Key Account Managers to achieve both revenue and project acquisition targets.
- Conduct joint institutional visits, review meetings, and ongoing performance evaluations.
- Ensure the team maintains strong relationship networks across target states.
- Market Expansion & Strategic Growth
- Expand institutional and project footprint in North, Central, and Western India.
- Develop market intelligence and identify new business opportunities in both academic and CSR/government ecosystems.
- Represent the organization at regional conferences, industry events, and CSR forums.
- Reporting & Insights
- Maintain structured reports on pipeline, closures, CSR/government project status, and institutional feedback.
- Provide actionable insights to management on regional growth, competitor strategies, and partnership performance.
Performance Metrics
- Team Target: Achieve regional partnership and project revenue goals.
- Individual Target: Direct closures and project acquisitions from key institutions and CSR/government entities.
- Activity Metrics:
- Institutional and corporate CSR visits per week.
- Number of MoUs and project proposals submitted/closed.
- Achievement of revenue and impact milestones.
Desired Profile
- 8–12 years of experience in Institutional Sales, CSR Partnerships, or Government Project Development within Education, EdTech, Skilling, or Training sectors.
- Proven experience in closing CSR-funded or Government-aligned projects in partnership with universities or skilling bodies.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across North, Central, and Western India.
