Job Description

The Sales Manager – Wholesale will be responsible for developing and managing the wholesale distribution network for 2-wheeler accessories and riding gear. This role involves identifying new channel partners, driving secondary sales, managing existing distributors, and achieving sales targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Team Performance MonitoringConduct daily follow-ups with the sales team to ensure all assigned tasks and market visits are completed as planned. Review daily sales reports, calls, and dealer visits through CRM / MIS tools. Ensure timely collection of market feedback, competitor data, and order updates from team members. Track team productivity, lead conversion, and secondary sales performance. Address any gaps or delays in execution promptly and provide on-the-spot guidance or escalation if required. Conduct brief daily huddles/check-ins with the team to align priorities and review action items. 2. Sales & Revenue GrowthAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned territories. Drive sales through wholesale, distributor, and dealer channels. Plan and execute sales strategies to increase market share in 2-wheeler accessories and riding gear categories. 3. Channel Development & ManagementIdentify, onboard, and manage distributors and large retail partners. Maintain strong relationships with existing partners to ensure repeat business. Monitor channel performance, credit control, and inventory management. 4. Market Expansion & Business DevelopmentIdentify potential markets and business opportunities across regions. Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis to identify growth areas. Develop and implement trade schemes, promotions, and incentive programs. 5. Team & Territory ManagementLead and motivate a team of sales executives / area sales officers. Monitor performance through regular reviews and provide on-field coaching. Ensure coverage, frequency, and visibility as per company standards. 6. Marketing & Brand SupportCollaborate with marketing teams for product launches, merchandising, and branding initiatives. Provide market feedback on pricing, product performance, and customer trends. 7. Reporting & AnalysisPrepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and MIS. Analyze sales data to identify gaps and opportunities for growth. Key Skills & Competencies:Strong experience in wholesale / distribution management. In-depth knowledge of the 2-wheeler industry, accessories, and riding gear. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM, and reporting tools. Willingness to travel extensively. Qualifications:Graduate in Business, Marketing, or Automotive field (MBA preferred). 5–10 years of sales experience in the automotive aftermarket, accessories, or related industries. Performance Indicators (KPIs):Achievement of sales and revenue targets. Distributor network expansion. Channel partner satisfaction and retention. Market share growth in assigned territories. Timely reporting and forecasting accuracy.
