Role Overview

Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities


1. Lead Management & Customer Engagement

• Handle inbound and outbound leads through CRM (Zoho).

• Understand customer requirements (Industrial, Commercial & PM-KUSUM).

• Conduct initial qualification calls and schedule site visits.

• Share brochures, proposals, SLDs, layouts, and relevant documents.


2. Technical Analysis & Site Assessments

• Visit customer sites to understand load profiles, roof/land feasibility, and technical constraints.

• Coordinate with design & engineering team for system sizing and energy yield.

• Provide accurate technical inputs to prepare BOQs, proposals, and DPRs.


3. Proposal Preparation & Presentations

• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, savings analysis, and ROI reports.

• Explain PPA models, net-metering, open-access, and PM-KUSUM policies to customers.

• Present SolarSure’s value proposition: engineering excellence, quality, and transparency.


4. Deal Closure & Documentation

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and project timelines.

• Coordinate for LOA signing, PPA paperwork, subsidy documentation, and bank loan support.

• Ensure smooth handover to Project & Execution team after closing.


5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with engineering, procurement, marketing, and finance teams.

• Provide customer feedback to improve product offerings and service quality.

• Assist marketing in generating content from field visits (photos, videos, case studies).

Required Qualifications

Education

• Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

• MBA in marketing is a plus but not mandatory.

Experience

• 1–5 years in solar EPC sales (industrial, commercial, or PM-KUSUM).

• Freshers with strong communication & confidence may also apply.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical understanding of solar rooftop/ground-mounted systems.

• Excellent communication & customer handling skills.

• Ability to explain financial models (ROI, payback, savings).

• Comfortable with site visits, field sales, and travel across MP.

• Proficiency in Excel, CRM (Zoho), WhatsApp Business, and basic AutoCAD/PVsyst knowledge (added advantage).

• Target-driven, proactive, and self-motivated.
