Job Description

For a Leading IT solutions provider at Oman

Key Responsibilities

1. RFQ / Tender Study

  • Review RFQs, RFPs, tender documents, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Analyze project drawings (layouts, schematics, device placements, cable routing).
  • Identify technical requirements, compliance points, and missing information.
  • Highlight risks, assumptions, and clarifications required before proposal submission.

2. BOQ Preparation & Estimation

  • Prepare complete BOQ based on RFQ, site drawings, and solution requirements.
  • Estimate materials, quantities, and accessories (cables, conduits, poles, power supplies, etc.).
  • Prepare accurate costing sheets including product price, logistics, installation, and overheads.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for pricing of specialized items when required.

3. Solution Design Support

  • Assist in designing ELV/security/IT solutions such as CCTV, access control, UPS, Wi-Fi, structured cabling, and networking.
  • Recommend suitable products, models, and configurations based on client requirements.
  • Prepare system architecture diagrams, connection diagrams, and device lists (if needed).

4. Proposal & Documentation Support

  • Draft technical and commercial proposals for the sales team.
  • Prepare compliance statements, data sheets, product comparison charts, and solution justifications.
  • Support in preparing tender submissions, including formatting and ensuring all required documents are included.
  • Maintain a repository of standard templates, company documents, and updated product portfolios.

5. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with the sales team in Oman to understand project objectives.
  • Join internal meetings virtually and provide technical clarifications.
  • Share updates on RFQ/BOQ progress, timelines, and pending information.
  • Communicate with suppliers, if required, for technical and pricing details.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain an updated tracker of all RFQs, BOQs, estimates, and proposals prepared.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on ongoing and completed tasks.
  • Archive cost sheets, drawings, and approved solutions for future reference.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, IT, Networking, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Pre-Sales / Estimation for ELV, security systems, IT networking, or similar domains.
  • Experience working on RFQs, tenders, BOQs, and proposal preparation.
  • Familiarity with systems such as CCTV, access control, Wi-Fi, structured cabling, UPS, servers, switches, and network architecture.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of ELV systems, security solutions, and IT networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to read technical drawings: AutoCAD layouts, schematics, block diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Excel, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and documentation.
  • Good knowledge of product selection (Cameras, controllers, switches, UPS, servers, Wi-Fi APs, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of structured cabling standards (Cat6/Cat6A/Fiber).
  • Familiarity with drafting proposals and tender documentation.
  • AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Good time-management and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to meeting project timelines.

Location: Work From Home – India. candidate must be willing to join office later as required by the company.

Working Days: Sunday to Thursday Working Hours: 10:00 am – 7:30 pm (India time)

Salary: As per company policy / discussed during interview

Reporting To: Sales Manager / Business Development Team (Oman)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month

License/Certification:
