We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Coordinator at our Corporate Office in Houston, TX (3 Greenway Plaza). Primary Function: The Sales Coordinator interacts with the Company’s customers and Sales Managers to address inquiries and assist in resolving complaints regarding products, pricing, delivery, and availability. Duties & Responsibilities: This position may require any of the following functions: Supports other Sales Coordinators, Sales Managers, Logistic Managers and Technical Service Managers as required. Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products, pricing, delivery and availability; may assist in resolving issues, and/or elevates issues as required. Performs routine functions and handles less complex issues where assistance is readily available. Collects and enters orders for products, monitors direct shipment status and communicates as needed with Sales Coordinators, Sales Managers, Logistic Managers and Technical Services Managers. Forecasts, monitors and arranges terminal shipments with carriers, terminal operators, customers and internal departments as needed. Maintains customer database – updates customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments. Assists Accounting Department with pricing approval, credits and debits. Participates in yearly and quarterly audits. Issues formal correspondence or notices to customers as needed on behalf of Management or Sales. Runs and compiles data for daily, weekly and monthly reporting. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field and two years of experience in customer service or sales is strongly preferred. Qualifications: Knowledge and application of Corporate compliance rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly Commitment to safe work behaviors and protection of the environment Ability to read, write, and speak English in a clear, concise manner Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship Physical Requirements : Candidate must be able to: Lift up-to 10 pounds regularly Regularly required to sit, stand, or walk in the office Bend, reach, kneel, and stoop occasionally Schedule is Monday through Friday, but occasional overtime may be required based on business needs Work Environment: Work is performed indoors (climate controlled) in a professional office environment Occasional travel to customer sites (5%) Competencies: Integrity / Ethics Critical Evaluation / Decision Making Customer Focus Work Standards / Quality Reliability/Dependability Teamwork / Collaboration Initiative Communication Flexibility / Adaptability Show more Show less
