Job description - Plant Head Role Overview We seek an experienced Plant Manager to lead production, maintenance, quality assurance, and overall plant operations. This role requires a results-driven leader who can optimize manufacturing processes, uphold quality standards, ensure safety compliance, and drive operational excellence. The Plant Manager will serve as the operational link between plant teams and senior leadership, ensuring company objectives are met on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations: Oversee daily manufacturing, packaging, supply chain, HR, and maintenance functions. Develop production targets, operational strategies, and resource plans aligned with company objectives. Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control systems. Collaborate with supply chain leaders to meet product standards and resolve quality issues. Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety policies, conduct regular audits, and maintain compliance with environmental and industry regulations. Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee plant infrastructure maintenance, preventive schedules, and efficiency projects to reduce downtime. Financial Management: Operate within budget; identify cost-saving measures; produce fiscal performance reports and manage cost structures. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with management to design long-term plant operational strategies and adopt new technologies. Project Management: Lead plant improvements, expansions, and new installations. Manage timelines, resources, and budgets in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Employee Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, training, and mentorship. Support KPIs and fair performance evaluation processes. HR & Administration: align with HR department in delegating responsibilities, monitor departmental KPIs, ensure fair reviews, and align operations with company policies and local regulations. Requirements: 12 - 15 years of leadership experience in FMCG plant operations. Engineering graduate from a reputable university; MBA preferred. Proven expertise in manufacturing, resource optimization, team leadership, and compliance. Strong interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills. Financial management capability and negotiation skills. IT proficiency: SAP/Navision ERP and advanced Excel skills. Preferred: Experience in hair colour segment local & international operations.
