Job Description: Cross-Selling Executive – Insurance Brokerage Role Overview As a Cross-Selling Executive in an insurance brokerage firm, you will be responsible for strengthening client relationships by offering additional insurance solutions from multiple insurers. You will identify coverage gaps, recommend tailored products, and ensure clients receive comprehensive risk protection, while contributing to the brokerage’s revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact with existing clients to understand evolving needs and risks. Cross-Selling & Upselling: Recommend additional policies across different lines (e.g., health, life, motor, property, marine, liability) based on client profiles. Advisory Role: Provide impartial comparisons between insurers to help clients select the most suitable product. Coverage Analysis: Conduct insurance portfolio reviews to identify gaps, overlaps, or cost-saving opportunities. Revenue Growth: Drive brokerage income by meeting cross-selling and upselling targets. Collaboration: Work with account managers and underwriting teams to prepare proposals and finalize placements. Customer Education: Clearly explain policy terms, benefits, exclusions, and compliance requirements. Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all recommendations follow IRDAI/regulatory guidelines and brokerage code of conduct. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred). Prior experience in insurance brokerage or insurance sales (life/general/health). Strong understanding of multiple insurance products and markets. Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze client risk profiles and match with suitable insurer offerings. Target-driven with a consultative, client-first approach. Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
