Job Description

Role Overview: As the Regional Head for the Retail Banking business unit at IDFC First, your main objective will be to expand the branch banking business in your designated region. This involves developing strategies to grow the existing products, channels, segments, and customer base in a cost-efficient and technologically effective manner. You will work closely with various teams within the Retail division to ensure seamless customer experiences and establish IDFC First as the primary bank for all banking needs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement regional strategies to achieve business growth, revenue, and profitability targets - Align regional goals with the organization's overall objectives in collaboration with senior management - Identify market opportunities and trends to expand the business banking portfolio - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of relationship managers, portfolio managers, cluster heads, and support staff - Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide feedback and coaching - Drive talent acquisition, training, and succession planning to build a high-performing team - Cultivate relationships with key clients, business partners, and stakeholders - Acquire new business banking clients and enhance existing relationships within the branch channel - Develop tailored financial solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises - Monitor regional performance metrics such as profitability, book growth, fee income, and credit quality - Ensure efficient resource management for maximum profitability and operational efficiency - Collaborate with the collections team to reduce net credit loss and delinquency metrics - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and risk management standards - Manage credit risk, operational risk, and market risk within the region - Conduct periodic reviews and audits to uphold a strong control environment - Promote a customer-centric culture across the region - Supervise the delivery of high-quality, timely, and personalized services to business banking clients - Handle client escalations and ensure timely issue resolution Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities: - Mentor and coach senior team members to instill a culture of customer centricity, innovation, compliance, and integrity - Create an environment that encourages automation and digital enablement to meet customers" needs holistically - Attract and retain top talent to support the bank's rapid growth targets Qualifications Required: - Graduate in any discipline - Postgraduate degree in MBA Finance Additional Details: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in branch banking.,
