Job Description

Responsibilities for food quality manager

  • Follow inspection and testing protocols for materials, products and packaging.
  • Follow SOP’s and conditions for handling, storage and preservation of samples.
  • Implement plans and strategies to support provision of safe food products.
  • Review reports and develop guidelines and standard practices for data documentations and analysis.
  • Specify the protocols and laboratory infrastructure and equipment to be inspected and tested.
  • Verify alignment of sampling documentation, testing activities and procedures with established protocols to identify issues.
  • Reporting faulty packaging or problems on the machines to the relevant managers.
  • Lead the process of moving from a quality control minded organization to a quality assurance minded organization
  • Set up the quality assurance systems for proper certification
  • Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs and legality
  • Works with cross-functional team to investigate large scale consumer complaints at co-manufacturing locations to determine root cause and develops strategies to reduce complaint incidences
  • Coordinates audit schedules for assigned co-manufacturers assures implementation of audits of staff for the QA co-manufacturing network
  • The Q&FS Manager coordinates the implementation of R&D activities on site through deployment of cross-functional ways of working
  • Assist in monitoring the results of raw material, in-process product, & finished product testing for compliance with specifications
  • Track & trend data to ensure new trends are not developing
  • Serves as a technical resource for Mojave, ensuring documented procedures and processes for quality and safety compliance, practices and behaviors
  • Leads and develops Janitorial Team and Safety Functional Leadership Team members

Qualifications for food quality manager

  • Master's Degree holder in Food Science/Technology
  • Minimum 7 years experience in FMCG sector, background in FMCG retail / food chain (Snacks Line Like Chips, Kurkure, Namkeen)
  • Sound knowledge in safety regulations is a must
  • Develops relationships with national, regional and local food donation organizations to create long term relationships that ensure safe, timely and effective movement of donated food and beverage
  • Participate in cross department interactions to align resources and information to ensure that the retail food donation program is implemented in a timely and compliant manner
  • Manages the development, implements and tracks the effectiveness of the retail food donation program including standards, procedures, specifications and measures to assure that product safety and regulatory requirements are met
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control within the food industry, preferably as Executive role.

Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.

  • A clear understanding of health and safety standards and protocols.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
