Job Description

Total AI Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Software QA Manager to build and lead our Quality Assurance function across our AI-powered debt collection platform. This role is perfect for a technically proficient, a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-ownership environment and knows how to architect and scale an end to end QA function, from strategy to execution for our fast-paced growing SAAS platform. You will be responsible for assembling high performance teams and establishing robust QA processes, ensuring every release is rigorously tested, and helping evolve the quality culture across engineering. You’ll work closely with the CTO, product managers, and developers to ensure that every feature shipped meets our high standards of performance, stability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Build and scale the QA function from the ground up—starting with manual testing and maturing into a robust automation-first practice Build and scale our QA team from scratch, including hiring, training, mentoring and performance evaluations for QA engineers Define and enforce standards for test planning, execution, documentation, reporting and issue tracking Lead test automation initiatives, choosing the right automation frameworks, tools, and processes Design and maintain an automation strategy tailored to our PHP-based SaaS stack Manage QA sprint deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation within an agile framework Establish team KPIs and metrics to measure coverage, velocity, and release quality Conduct root cause analyses on post-release issues and champion continuous improvement Collaborate closely with engineering, product and customer success to align quality efforts with business goals Participate in leadership syncs and cross-functional meetings with partial U.S. time zone overlap Requirements 8+ years of experience in QA, with 2–4 years in a QA leadership or management role Proven success building QA teams and frameworks in fast-paced or startup environments Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and hands-on experience with both manual and automation tools and frameworks Proficiency in scripting and debugging automated tests (preferably in PHP) Deep understanding of agile development practices and QA’s role in iterative delivery Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control systems, and DevOps workflows Track record of driving accountability, process enforcement, and performance tracking within QA teams Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders High emotional intelligence with a leadership style that blends support and accountability Flexible to work partially overlapping with U.S. time zones for cross-team coordination Show more Show less
