Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test cutting edge applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black box testers, they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to completion with minimal help. QAEs would be responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail and coming up with the test strategy/planning, coming up with the test cases, driving the test case sign-off processes with the stakeholders, contributing to code level Unit tests, test execution and reporting.

- Work with a team of quality engineering professionals to devise overall strategies for product delivery
Key job responsibilities
1) Develop and execute automated test scripts for device testing, leveraging strong automation skills.
2) Monitor and maintain test environments, ensuring stability and reliability throughout the testing process.
3) Utilize Linux-based systems for testing, debugging, and system-level validation of devices.
4) Interpret and analyze technical specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with product requirements.
5) Apply robust QA methodologies and tools to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
6) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers to identify, document, and resolve defects.
7) Participate in the design and implementation of test strategies, ensuring the quality of software and hardware integration.
8) Monitor and maintain test environments, ensuring stability and reliability throughout the testing process.
9) Provide detailed reports on test results, metrics, and defect tracking to support continuous improvement efforts.
