Responsibilities and more:

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to secure the high standards of our next-generation website. As a key member of our IT/Digital team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our modern web stack, which includes Sitecore XM Cloud for backend content management, a Next.js frontend hosted on Vercel, and styled with Tailwind CSS. Your role is to bridge the gap between development and delivery, ensuring our digital platforms provide a flawless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and Execute Test Plans: create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for our web applications. This includes functional, regression, performance, integration and user acceptance testing across web and mobile platforms.

● Quality Assurance (QA): Perform manual and automated tests, based on cypress.io, which uses Sitecore XM Cloud, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. You'll identify, document, and track software defects.

● Performance Monitoring: implement tools and processes to monitor the performance of our website. You'll analyze metrics and collaborate with the development team to optimize site speed and reliability.

● Collaborate and Communicate: work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is a priority throughout the entire development lifecycle. You'll communicate test results, metrics and provide actionable feedback.

● Automate Tests: Design and implement automated test scripts to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

● Stay Current: Keep up with the latest trends e.g. AI in test-automation and best practices in web technologies, quality assurance, and automated testing to ensure our processes are always evolving.

● Ensure compliance with QA standards, best practices, and documentation.

● Gather user feedback, analyze quality metrics (e.g., open defect counts, defect densities), and report actionable insights to improve product quality.

Required qualification:

● Technical Expertise:

● At least 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineer role, preferably with a focus on web applications

● Strong knowledge of modern web technologies, including Next.jsS.

● Proficiency with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium

● Understanding of how code quality frameworks works, preferably codacy.com, sonar.com or comparable

● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

● Platform-Specific Knowledge: Experience with Next.js or other modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.) is highly preferred. Experience with content management systems (CMS) like Sitecore XM Cloud is a plus.

● Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to identifying and documenting issues.

● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
