About the Role

Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Purchase raw materials, lifting hardware, consumables, and indirect materials for projects.
• Raise and process purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely vendor follow-up.
• Source materials for project-specific requirements and bought-out items.
• Coordinate closely with the 

  manufacturing team

   and 

  sales team

   for requirement planning.

Cost Tracking & Project Coordination

• Track project-wise material costing and maintain accurate cost sheets.
• Ensure procurement aligns with project budgets and delivery schedules.

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors.
• Maintain updated vendor records: pricing, lead time, performance, and service quality.
• Negotiate competitive pricing without compromising on quality.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Store, Stock & Inventory Management

• Oversee store operations and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Manage stock of raw materials, hardware items, consumables, indirect materials, and bought-out parts.
• Track inventory movements; ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock-outs.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and support audits.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies with proper documentation.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate purchase documentation — PO, invoice, GRN, and supporting records.
• Make basic accounting entries related to purchases and inventory.
• Ensure proper filing, system updates, and compliance with internal procurement processes.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, vendor management, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of hardware materials, raw materials, lifting components, and industrial consumables.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor-coordination abilities.
• Basic understanding of accounting entries and inventory documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP or inventory software is an advantage.
