Job Description

The Role

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing purchasing requests from users and purchasing products and service on time, as well as monitoring global consumption of specific services which need to be reported centrally.

The role reports to the Senior Finance and Accounting Manager.


Responsibilities

1- Supplier Management & Relationships

• Identify, evaluate (conduct due diligence), and onboard suppliers meeting quality, reliability, and cost standards.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure optimal value.
  • Monitor supplier performance, handle disputes or delays, and implement contingency plans.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery

Strategic Procurement & Planning

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies to identify and select reliable suppliers

  • Forecast demand and align sourcing efforts to prevent stock shortages or excess.
  • Adop

t sustainable and ethical procurement in compliance with relevant regulations.

Contract & Cost Management

  • Draft, negotiate, review, and manage supplier contracts—ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Manage procurement budgets, approve purchase orders, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track spending to control costs
  • Run the ongoing supplier due diligence process to ensure all suppliers' details in the global ERP system are kept up to date, including supplier code of conduct acceptance and compliance
  • Initial due diligence on suppliers and subsequent annual reviews.

Data & Reporting

  • Prepare all the inventories and register separately for tracking purposes
  • Tracking data for global “ECG” compliance and reporting, including:-

o Energy Consumption

o Travel

o Carbon reporting


5-
Inventory Management

  • Manage inventory levels (e.g. Laptops, stationery, equipment etc.)


Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, and business administration.
  • Good at English - both verbal & written.
  • Solid understanding of purchasing and inventory management systems.
  • Have a high degree of integrity.
  • Proof of cost savings in previous companies.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in ESG tracking and reporting would be beneficial.
