We are looking for an experienced and motivated Purchase Manager to help drive our continued success.

Position: Purchase Manager – For Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings

Location: New Alipore, Kolkata

Salary Range: 30K – 40K

Experience: Min 5-7 Years

Qualification: B.com with good knowledge in Tally is mandatory (M.com/MBA will be an added advantage)

Notice Period- Immediate Joiner preferable max 15-30 days notice period.

Responsibilities

· Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identifying potential suppliers/vendors, evaluating their capabilities, negotiating contracts, and establishing relationships. This involves researching potential suppliers, soliciting bids, and selecting the most suitable vendors based on factors such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery terms.

· Cost Analysis and Negotiation: Analysing costs associated with procurement activities and identifying opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements. This involves conducting cost-benefit analyses, negotiating pricing with suppliers, and implementing cost-saving initiatives such as volume discounts or alternative sourcing strategies. Negotiate and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional departments for the best possible price purchase and delivery time with the quality required for the project.

· Purchase Order Processing: Generating and managing purchase orders (POs) for the procurement of goods and services. This includes verifying purchase requisitions, obtaining necessary approvals, issuing POs to suppliers, and tracking order status to ensure timely delivery. Generate purchase orders and forward them to respective suppliers.

· Supplier Performance Evaluation: Assessing supplier performance based on factors such as quality, delivery reliability, responsiveness, and customer service. This includes conducting regular performance reviews, addressing performance issues or concerns, and identifying supplier development or improvement opportunities.

· Research & Sourcing: Research, evaluate potential suppliers, and develop new vendors in accordance with the company’s SOP (Standard operating procedure). Source and procure materials or equipment according to project requirements (RFQ/BOM).

· Maintain Database & Material Requisition: Expedite and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery to support production and project. Maintain database - update and file all material requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders as per the company’s SOP. Coordinate with the company to check stock levels as required and place orders as needed. Prepare and distribute procurement and delivery reports to respective departments timely. Keep abreast of market/price situation and conduct regular price comparisons.

· Reporting System: Taking responsibility for purchasing of goods during all stages from material requisition (MR) till purchase order (PO) closed in the system. Submit weekly reports to management reflecting accurate updates on goods purchased and highlighting any issues. Perform other duties assigned or as instructed by the management.

· Shift and schedule: Day shift (Mon-Sat)

· Commuting: On-site Job, (10 AM-6 PM)
