The CNC Turning Centre In-Charge/Setter is responsible for overseeing the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC turning machines. This role involves managing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team of operators to achieve production targets. Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup: Lead the setup of CNC turning machines, including selecting and installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces. Programming: Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs based on technical drawings and production requirements. Operational Oversight: Supervise the operation of CNC turning centres, ensuring efficient and accurate production processes. Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures, performing inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure product compliance. Team Leadership: Train and mentor CNC operators, promoting best practices and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, making necessary adjustments to machinery and processes. Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and oversee routine maintenance of machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including job logs and quality control documentation, for reporting purposes. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment for all team members. Extensive experience as a CNC setter, with proven expertise in CNC turning operations. Skills: Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
